We are currently seeking a talented Scientist who has completed PhD study with a good track record of research in the area of Real-time meat/food quality measurement. The position is 2 years fixed term and will focus on using non-invasive optical sensors, to predict product meat quality outcomes, and/or sensor physics, applications, calibration and data integration techniques. This 2-year postdoctoral position is part of the MBIE funded programme 'Capturing the Value of New Zealand Red Meat' aiming to develop enabling technologies for real-time prediction of meat product quality. The goal of the project is to develop a prototype sensor platform to measure the tenderness, pH and fat content of meat in real-time in a meat processing plant operating environment.
