Postdoctoral Scientist - EXPERIMENTAL PHYSICS

In this position, you will join the Atomic Physics Group in a project that aims at using individually prepared optically trapped atoms to study atom-atom interactions and controlled individual molecule formation events.


The Atomic Physics Otago group is part of the Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies.


Your Skills and Experience


You should have a PhD in Physics, and a demonstrated strength in one or more of the following areas within experimental AMO physics:
• laser cooling and trapping of atoms;
• photo-association of ultra-cold atoms;
• laser manipulation of individual atoms; or
• quantum optics.

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for two years.
